murder mystery event

In order to raise funds for our chosen charities Three Valleys Club stages a Murder Mystery event annually. Any club member can get involved.

The event centres around a play-reading that has been produced as an amateur production of a murder mystery evening for the public by the club members.

The audience participates, and ultimately solves the mystery, usually a murder, using a mix of paperwork and scenes presented to them by the cast. It has been well received by the audiences year on year.

Naturally there is a certain amount of planning and organisational skills required from the club, but it is lots of fun too.

Each play-reading has a different theme and so far we have produced seven unique plays since 2004.

  • It's Murder at the Office, Dear: a modern day murder mystery set in a cut-throat office environment.
  • Ain't you got no Holmes to go to: a unique murder involving the famous Sherlock Holmes
  • What have the Romans ever done for us? - a murder in the bath house
  • Big Top of Death: famous sleuths from throughout history investigate a bizarre murder
  • No Mr Bond I expect you to Die: who is qualified to be the next 007?
  • Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum: the descendents of famous Pirates search for Captain Morgan's treasure
  • Out for the Count: Dracula's wife has to deduct which of his monster friends has murdered him
